Pre Payment Certificates are available:-
- 3-month PPC: £31.25
- 12-month PPC: £111.60 (Can be paid for upfront or by 10 monthly direct debit instalments. Cost is equivalent to £9.30 per month over 12 months)
From 1st April 2023 it will be possible to purchase a new Pre Payment Certificate for HRT. The Certificate covers certain HRT medicines. The cost for HRT PPC: £19.30

If you get prescriptions for items other than HRT medicines, you may save more with a 3 or 12 month PPC that covers all NHS prescriptions.
A PPC will save you more than an HRT PPC if you get:
- 4 or more items in a 3-month period and at least 2 are not for HRT medication
- 12 or more items in 12-month period and at least 10 are not for HRT medication
